The Ministry of Commerce said that Venezuela is very interested in deepening its partnership with India in the critical minerals sector and getting more Indian investment.  The meeting in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, between Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Venezuelan Minister of Ecological Mining Development Hector Silva was where the talk took place.

The ministry said that the from its side wanted to strengthen economic ties with India in ways other than the usual oil-based relationship.  Mining important minerals together and opening up new investment opportunities were two of the most important areas that were talked about.  Minister Goyal stressed how important it is to bring back the Ind- Ven Joint Committee Mechanism, which last met ten years ago. He also talked about how cooperation could grow in the car industry.

The ministry also said in a different announcement that the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited, Logistics Data Services Limited, and the government of Andhra Pradesh have signed a memorandum of understanding to digitize the state’s logistics ecosystem through the Unified Logistics Interface Platform.

This project will create a unified digital system that will let both government agencies and private businesses see logistics activities in Andhra Pradesh in real time.  The new platform is meant to improve coordination, increase efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making by making it easy to access performance indicators and operational insights.
