Key Background :
Dubai-based TeknoDome Group’s Elista has taken the leap of a giant in India’s electrical manufacturing sector with the commissioning of its cutting-edge manufacturing plant in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. The 1.32 lakh square-foot plant, built in a phased investment of ₹250 crore, marks a shift from import dependence to indigenous, self-reliant manufacturing. This move not only delves deeper into Elista’s market place penetration but also serves India’s vision grand of being a world production hub.
The company was tasked with the export of its first consignment 650 high-end 43- to 85-inch smart TVs to Dubai. The export worth ₹2.55 crore was made under the India–Dubai Free Trade Agreement. The feat is one of the steps being taken by Elista towards making available both for the domestic and international markets so that India, as much as it is a consumption economy, becomes a world supplier of high-tech electronics.
During the first phase, the Kadapa plant will be focusing on mass production with an ability to make up to one million smart TVs and one million LED monitors annually. During the second phase, the company will diversify into the production of washing machines, dish washers, and smart accessories. The complex presently has more than 200 specialists, and future recruitment techniques will be aimed at expanding operations. The increase is expected to increase job creation opportunities and contribute to the economic growth of the region.
Managing Director and Chairman Saket Gaurav has characterized the launch as a milestone for the company. In four years, Elista has evolved from a challenger brand to an entity that can make world-class products. The Kadapa facility brings the company’s vision of quality, affordability, and speed to fruition delivering Indian and global consumers better quality products made locally.
One of the key advantages of the new plant is its geographical location. Situated near Chennai and Visakhapatnam ports, it provides logistic benefits that assist in bending down transit time to Dubai by merely five days, reducing the cost significantly. This increases Elista’s competitiveness in export markets and the efficiency of its supply chain.
Apart from being enormous in size and strategic placement, the factory is marked by technology and green features. Automated production lines, robots, and intelligent quality control systems demonstrate precision and efficacy, whereas rainwater harvesting, solar integration, and ESD-safe areas represent best practice in green manufacturing. Combined with these features, the Kadapa factory represents the gold standard of the future of electronics manufacturing in India.
